Warm weather is just one advantage of living in Alabama. A broader
selection of lawn grasses to choose from is another. Having many grasses available, however, often makes it more difficult to know what to do for your lawn ... and when. For example, some warm climate grasses require frequent feedings to perform well. Others respond well to fewer feedings. Of course, al grasses need other attention too, such as control of weeds and insects. Fortunately this can often be done at the same time as feeding, by using a combonation fertilizer-and-control product.
The following is a summary of what-to-do-when for the most popular
lawns found throughout the south.
Use a broadcast Spreader to apply the fertilizer and weed and feed
products for best results.
St.Augustine Grass Annual Program
